Updates
What changed in Tobsy, and what’s being worked on. The app shows the same list under Settings → Updates.
In the works
- The website in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch and French.
- Importing the free sheet: a new category made on the spot, from the review board.
Order and timing move as we go.

What changed
November 2026
-
A new look for the bear: simpler, in one colour, with a new app icon to match.
-
The Assistant tab answers again with a Google key. Sorry it stopped for a few days.
-
The week ahead on Home reads day by day, and lists near the bottom of the screen open upward.
October 2026
-
Assistants answer faster again, with fewer calls to your spreadsheet.
-
Assistants answer faster. Period reports split by currency only when needed. Left-out suggestions stay out.
-
Today follows Settings → Time zone. Suggestions you leave out wait. Assistants can run any saved report.
-
Assistants can now edit or archive entries, save reports and check a statement against Tobsy, most with Undo.
-
Assistants can now make changes you say yes to in the chat. Each is listed in Change history, most with Undo.
-
Assistants now see what Tobsy sees: bills not in yet, settle-up, goal pace, the forecast and usual ranges.
-
Assistants can add your entries straight in when you allow it, and one tap undoes a batch.
-
Keep several AI keys at once. Moonshine writes your voice down by default; change models in voice and chat.
-
Voice now asks if money sent to a person is spending or a transfer. Claude Haiku is the default Claude model.
-
Back on your phone now closes an open sheet instead of Tobsy, and asks before it drops a recording.
-
Spending paid from a fund now links to it, and an export keeps its fund links — update your spreadsheet to 6.
-
Voice opens the board at once, asks about shared bills, totals and dates, and can learn who “I” is.
-
Voice on +Add knows your funds, transfers and household. The board shows each row in its own currency.
-
Questions to the assistant cost less: your provider caches what stays the same. Details shows the tokens.
-
Your link now tells an assistant how to log an entry on its own — update your spreadsheet to 5.
-
Voice can be written down on this phone, with no recording sent: choose it in Settings → Assistant → Advanced.
-
Voice on +Add asks when it must: whose income, shared or not, how much. Misheard shop names come out right.
-
Voice on +Add sorts what you say in one step: a category you name is kept, then your merchant rules.
-
+Add has Voice: say an entry and it lands on the review board. A free Google key now starts on Flash-Lite.
-
The mic writes down only the words you said. When an answer fails, Details shows what your provider said.
-
Speak to the assistant: tap the mic, check the words your provider writes down, then Ask.
-
If the model chosen for you doesn’t answer, the assistant tries another. Local or custom now has set-up steps.
-
Settings → Assistant now says which assistant last connected through your link, and when.
-
The assistant can show any Analysis chart or table under its answer. Remove key is in Settings → Assistant.
-
Ask about your money inside Tobsy, with your own model key: choose a provider in Settings → Assistant.
-
Ask an AI assistant about your money: the link is in Settings → Assistant. Its suggestions wait for you.
-
Usual ranges on Home: a chart opened from a chip now shows the months you chose in Analysis → Usual ranges.
-
Usual ranges on Home: each chip is now the end of its own chart — the same range, line and dot colours.
-
Recurring has its own tab now, next to Goals & Plans — no longer under Settings.
-
Looks recurring: a rule is asked about its own merchant only, and an accepted one hides nothing else.
-
Home’s tiles no longer show a “checking…” line while they refresh; the figure dims for a moment instead.
-
Usual ranges: a dot’s colour says above or below your usual, and the income side shows this month so far.
-
Usual ranges on Home: a tapped dot stays, the month starts at zero, the chips zoom in, and Home stays put as it refreshes.
-
Importing the free spending sheet: categories match by name, and a new one waits as one group to categorise.
-
Tobsy now speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch and French — pick yours in Settings → This device.
-
Dates now read in English, in your country’s own order, like Thu, 15 Oct.
-
Forecast: drivers are grouped like your categories, each group then each category, with its rhythms inside.
-
Forecast: rhythm charts read oldest to newest; a set price has no season; a season needs two agreeing years.
-
A regular with a set price now counts only entries near that price. Shopping at the same shop stays shopping.
September 2026
-
Set-up: either Copy link works at step 5, and on a phone step 2 opens your script from Google’s list.
-
Seven screens’ ⓘ is now a short tour of what is not obvious. It opens by itself on your first two visits.
-
A fresh spreadsheet starts with a short set-up: people, categories, what comes round.
-
A regular cost can carry its next date, and a new one waits for that date instead of showing as Paused.
-
Every update now tells you what changed, here in the bell.
-
Your usual ranges on Home: each category’s last three months against its usual, tap one for the whole picture.
-
The Ledger catches up with a change made on another device, and says checking while it does.
-
An import shows in the Ledger at once and waits in the queue offline, like any entry.
-
Tobsy begins.
