A purchase takes a few taps.
Amount, category, done. Type a rule like "rent" and the rest fills itself in. Tobsy learns your merchants as you go, so the second coffee is one tap.
Spending awareness · in your own Google Sheet
Tobsy is a spending-awareness app you fill in by hand, a few taps per purchase. It lives in a Google Sheet in your own Drive. No bank connection, no account, no subscription.
No card. No password. An email address, and you're in.

What is Tobsy?
Income on the left, where it went on the right, what you kept in between. Every number comes from an entry you made, so the picture is only ever as true as you are, and never a guess.
What's inside
Add
Amount, category, done. Type a rule like "rent" and the rest fills itself in. Tobsy learns your merchants as you go, so the second coffee is one tap.
The week ahead
Bills that usually land, the pay day, the things you told it to expect. Seven days at a glance on Home, and a plain sentence when you open it up.

Forecast
Where the month is likely to end, as a band rather than a single confident number. It widens when the data is thin and narrows as the month fills in.

Usual ranges
Tobsy learns what a normal month looks like for each category and mentions it when one wanders: up or down. Good news gets a note too.

Ledger
Filter by date, type, merchant, category, fund or tag. A shared cost shows your share underneath. Two people, one sheet, and each sees their own view.

Intentions
Set a ceiling for a category, or a floor for what you keep, and watch it calmly. Tobsy says where you sit, never what you did wrong. Look back three, six or twelve months to see how you usually do.
Goals & plans
A fund shows what it holds, how far along it is, and when it gets there at your pace. A laptop paid in twelve is logged as each instalment lands, never counted twice.

Catching up
Bulk-enter by category and day. Or paste a bank statement, or import a screenshot from your banking app, and review every row before it lands.

On every device
One app, the same numbers, the same buttons. Tobsy installs on your phone from the browser and works like an app. Nothing is desktop-only, and nothing is a cut-down version.

Every screen, full size, on the app page.
Where your money data lives
Tobsy has no database. Your entries are written to a spreadsheet in your own Drive, and the app reads them back from there. We can't see them, not as a policy, but because there's no path for them to reach us.
Set-up · about ten minutes, once
Tobsy runs from a copy of a spreadsheet in your own Google account, so there's a one-time set-up. The guide walks you through it on a computer or a phone, and the last step does the wiring for you.
Copy the Tobsy sheet into your Drive.
A few plain lines. You won't change them.
Turn it on, once. Google gives it an address.
One permission: this spreadsheet.
The last thing you type.
Tabs, key, phone. Then it opens.
The longer version, with the questions people ask: set-up.
One price
No subscription and no renewal. Two people in a household share one copy, so one payment covers both. Refunds on request; a refund simply stops the app.
The shop opens with launch. The free trial is open now, and if you decide to keep Tobsy you pay from inside the app when the thirty days are up. Nothing is lost in between.

Test drive
The demo is the real app with fourteen months of sample entries. Every screen and every button works. Nothing is installed, and nothing you do is saved.
Thirty days is long enough to watch a month go by. That's all Tobsy asks before it asks for anything.
